Here is all the information about the beer festival

Where is the beer festival?
Leicester Beer Festival is being held in the grounds of Abbey Pumping Station on Corporation Road, Leicester, LE4 5PX.

What are the opening times?
We are open from Thursday 18th to Saturday 20th June from 12 noon to 10pm.  This year you can arrive at any time and stay as long as you wish.

How do I get there?
The Skylink bus runs up to every 15 mins from St Margaret’s Bus Station taking just 4 mins to the Corporation Road bus stop.  It’s then just a few minutes walk along Corporation Road to the Abbey Pumping Station entrance. You can also get the 54 bus from Haymarket Bus Station to the Beaumont Leys Lane bus stop. Both services are within the Leicester Flexi ticket area.
Car parking (chargeable) is available next-door at the National Space Centre on Exploration Drive where there is also an entrance to the Pumping Station Museum. Designated drivers will receive free soft drinks.
Taxis and Uber should be easy to get or if you fancy walking it’ll take around 30mins from the city centre to the museum entrance next to the National Space Centre.

Admission prices
It’s £8 advance ticket admission on Thursday and £9 on Friday and Saturday. CAMRA members get free admission, just remember to bring your membership card or digital card. Everyone gets a free glass to keep plus a festival programme.
Advance tickets can be purchased to guarantee entry click here or you can pay at the gate. The gate price for non-members is £10 so you do save money with the online tickets.
If you love beer and pubs why not join CAMRA at the festival. There are lots of benefits in being a member of one of the most recognised consumer campaigning organisations, details here, and as an extra bonus if you join at the festival we’ll also give you two free pints!

How do I pay for drinks?
We accept major debit/credit card payments at the bar which is our preferred method of payment as we won’t be taking cash at the bar.  However, if you don’t have a debit/credit card you can buy beer tokens with cash at our membership desk although we will only have a limited amount of change to refund any unused amounts. Drinks will be priced at regular pub prices.

What drinks will be available?
We’ll have around 45 cask real ales and 5 keg craft beers from local breweries and from across the country.  There will also be 12 ciders and a perry from local producers.  See our beer list.

Will there be gluten free and vegan beers?
Yes, we’ll have a selection of gluten free and vegan friendly beers and ciders available.  See our beer list.

Will there be any alcohol-free drinks?
We’ll have a selection of bottled alcohol-free beers and cider plus soft drinks. Designated drivers will receive free soft drinks.

Will there be food?
We’ll have filled cobs and snacks/crisps plus the “Samosa Wallah” stall will have a selection of Indian snacks.  You are also welcome to bring your own food, have a picnic or even have a takeaway delivered.

Will there be seating?
We have tables and chairs outside of the marquee with some gazeboes or you are quite welcome to bring your own folding chair or picnic blanket.

Will there be entertainment?
We don’t have the facilities for entertainment but that makes it ideal to sit and chat with friends over a few beers.

Can I bring my dog?
Yes, well behaved dogs on leads are allowed in the Pumping Station grounds and the beer festival marquee.  Only assistance dogs are permitted in the museum building though.  We’ll have water bowls available.

Are children allowed?
Yes, accompanied children are allowed into the festival, although are not allowed to approach the bars.  You could combine with a family visit to the Pumping Station Museum which will be open during the daytime.

Is the festival accessible?
We are on a flat location with wheelchair access to the marquee and an accessible toilet.

Will the Abbey Pumping Station Museum be open?
Yes, this year the Abbey Pumping Station Museum will be opening during the daytime especially for visitors to the beer festival.  Click here for more details about this interesting site.
