Some local beer festivals coming up 19 August 2026 - 20 September 2026
There are quite a few beer festivals to enjoy over the next few weeks:
19th to 23rd August – Summerfestival at the Black Horse in Aylestones
25th to 29th August – Peterborough CAMRA Beer Festival
28th to 30th August – Gilmorton Village Beer Festival including music and dog show
28th to 31st August – Bakersfest at Bakers Arms in Blaby, beer, cider, gin and music festival
4th & 5th September – Western Park Beer Festival at St Anne’s Church Hall LE3 6FN
4th to 6th September – Kings Head at Smeeton Westerby festival featuring beers from Norfolk
17th to 20th September – Beer, Cider & Gin Festival at the Great Central Railway
Social outing by public transport - Countesthorpe & Aylestone 21 August 2026
Join us on Friday 21st August for a trip out by bus to visit the pubs in Countesthorpe and Aylestone.
We’ll depart Leicester St Margaret’s Bus Station at 11:45 on the Arriva service 85 bus. There’s also a service 87 bus from Haymarket Bus Station at 11:38 , arriving the same time, which runs via South Wigston so may suit some on the route.
They’ll also be the option to double back to the Glenhills Social Club which opens at 17:30.
Peterborough Beer Festival 25 August 2026 - 29 August 2026
Coach trip to Witney in Oxfordshire 3 October 2026
Our Autumn coach trip will be to Witney in Oxfordshire. 18 real ale pubs in this pretty Oxfordshire Market town, which I’m sure many of us haven’t visited before.
Coach fare is £20.99 for CAMRA Members and £22.99 for Non-Members.
