Local Bus Outing to Foxton & Smeeton Westerby via Kibworth

Our local pub day out by public transport is this Saturday 25th April when we shall visit Foxton & Smeeton Westerby via Kibworth.

Meet for the Stagecoach X7 bus at 12:07 from Haymarket Bus Station (Arriva tickets should be accepted on the Stagecoach bus).  This gets us to Kibworth at 12:36. We’ll then hop on the local LC4 bus at 13:07 for the short journey to Foxton, where we’ll visit the Shoulder of Mutton and the Black Horse in the village and also take a stroll along the towpath to the famous locks for drinks at the Foxton Locks Inn and the Bridge 61.  Bus back from Foxton is at 16:04 to Kibworth and we’ll then take a wander down to the Leicester CAMRA Pub of the Year 2026, the King’s Head in Smeeton Westerby.  There is then a choice of X3 or X7 buses back from Kibworth to Leicester, or you can use the new 44B service which goes via Wigston.
